Notes on Washing: To extend the life of the garment and for best performance, close all zips including pocket zips. Use a small amount of non-scented LIQUID detergent and gentle wash at a temperature below 40º Celsius. DO NOT use powder detergents, fabric softener or chlorine bleach. Powder detergents include artificial scents, UV brighteners and abrasives that will reduce the life of the garment. Warm tumble dry, or line dry after washing.

Great shirt light and cooling to wear , hence why I brought this shirt again.

Stone Creek – Fast Hunt Top

I bought the Stone Creek Fast Hunt Top with the intention of using it for hunting, but honestly, I was a bit disappointed.

The fabric is extremely thin. It offers very little protection against the elements. It is not waterproof at all, and while it blocks a small amount of wind, it is definitely not enough to keep you warm. In any cool or changeable weather, you will get cold very quickly.

Another issue is the length. The top is very long and hangs well below the pockets of my hunting pants, which makes it feel awkward and impractical when moving or bending. Because of the thin material, it also doesn’t feel very durable, and I doubt it will hold up well over time in real hunting conditions.

After receiving the item, I checked the website to see if I could exchange it, but because it was purchased on sale, returns and exchanges are not accepted. This is another downside to be aware of when buying Stone Creek products on promotion, as you are locked in even if the fit or performance is not what you expected.

That said, it does have a limited use. It can work for a short, sunny day hunt in dry conditions, where warmth and weather protection are not a priority. Outside of that scenario, I wouldn’t rely on it as a main hunting layer.

Overall, it’s a lightweight top, but too thin and underperforming for serious hunting.
