    DESCRIPTION

    This Jacket performs and outlasts Mother Nature during those multi-day backpack expeditions, where you need to stay as light, compact and quick-drying as possible, but you also need it to be tough enough and waterproof/windproof enough to endure the testing and harsh conditions you will experience out in the wild. Combine all those wishlists with a technically advanced design, purpose-built convenient features, and an advanced new Ripstop WEATHATECHFLEX fabric that moves and stretches with you... and you have just that. A true beast of a jacket that performs beautifully, striking the optimal balance of durable protection that meets lightweight breathable performance and comfort.
    MATERIALS & CARE

    Notes on Washing: To extend the life of the garment and for best performance, close all zips including pocket zips. Use a small amount of non-scented LIQUID detergent and gentle wash at a temperature below 40º Celsius. DO NOT use powder detergents, fabric softener or chlorine bleach. Powder detergents include artificial scents, UV brighteners and abrasives that will reduce the life of the garment. Warm tumble dry, or line dry after washing.

    Care after every use: Clean or wipe down any dirt, blood, or sweat. Ensure your rainwear layer is fully DRY before you store it away. Ensure that the environment where you store your garments is in a dry damp-free place. Ensure rainwear items are hanging up and not stored in a cram bag or screwed up in a heap.

    Durable Water Repellency (DWR): If you notice that the water is not beading off the outer surface it’s time to replenish the DWR. Wash your garment through a standard wash cycle (use liquid detergent), then you can wash it again using an in-wash DWR replenisher (at 30°C) OR a spray on DWR replenisher. Dry the garment at a LOW temperature in a tumble dryer or air dry.

    Another innovative fabric and fit from the Stoney Creek team. The Gaurdian has a high quality sturdy bomb proof feel to it but is still light weight enough that doesn’t restrict movement. The rut has brought some marginal weather this year and the Guardian set has kept me dry as a bone chasing reds and sika. Great bit of kit.

    Great innovation from the team with the new Guardian Jacket. The new fabric definitely is the biggest noticeable difference when compared to the previous Glaisnock and Stillwater jackets which I have also owned and used extensively. The Guardian Jacket has stretch which a like and need, as well as a lightweight form...and when you're a 4XL big rig like me... carrying that size of any gear is heavy enough in the pack... so the lighter the jacket the better.

    Gave my Guardian it's first outing on the West Coast earlier this month, talk about throwing it in the deep end! We were subjected to massive downpours lasting days, and were pretty much inhaling wet air and moisture the entire trip, but the new Guardian gear really stood up to the thrashing we gave it and provided us the ability to hunt when lighter weight rainwear would have been a liability. The tailored fit of the jacket and it's long tail is a real key feature, preventing water from pooling on you when hunting in a pack, and the hood really hugs the head nicely, all in all - very impressed with this rugged new product and am looking forward to chasing tahr in it later this year.

    When it really gets wet you want two things, rain gear to really keeps you dry and is comfy to wear not weighing you down. This jacket has performance and comfort. As soon as you have this Jacket on you feel comfortable and happy to get out into the elements. The cut of the jackets tackles the heaviest rain. When wearing this jacket during a huge storm on the Wild Southern West Coast I felt warm and dry.
