Toasty warm,I enjoyed wearing knowing it is far better rip resistant that an older puffer with that kind of warmth,Good pockets and definitely my new go to jacket!

can’t rate high enough this jacket, use it on farm almost daily over winter and still looking great she a tough one, not a jacket for rainy days but 100% for the cold chilly conditions here in mid Canterbury

Stoney Creek ThermoTough Jacket Review – by Dan Morey

I’ve been using the Stoney Creek ThermoTough puffer for hunting and farming and it’s been mean as. I’ve worn it heaps in the bush, done work around the farm, worn it durning motocross and pretty much chucked it through everything. Still holding up perfect no rips or anything.

It’s super warm, even on cold mornings, and doesn’t get all soggy when it’s a bit wet. I like that it’s tough too – I’ve pushed through thick scrub and it hasn’t torn at all.

It’s got good pockets, the zip doesn’t stuff out, and it fits good over my other gear. Only thing is it’s not waterproof, so if it pours down you’ll want a raincoat, but it handles light rain fine.

Overall, it’s a solid jacket, warm, tough, and good for the bush or farm. I’d 100% recommend it if you’re out hunting or working heaps.

It would be 5 stars if it had a drawstring at the bottom. This would help keep the warmth in on windy days. Otherwise, it would be one of the best, most durable puffer jackets I have ever owned. I have had mine for about 5 years now and wear it everywhere, including work on the construction site. Well worth the money.

The jackets were awesome – the guys loved them. They were really warm and windproof, and our guys were confident about wearing them in place of the extreme weather clothing jacket they were issued. We were generally working in temperatures between -8°C and -15°C, often with a windchill that added another -15°C to -25°C on top of that. (so the wind proofness of the jackets was really important.) We were working for the United States Antarctic program (USAP) down there crushing rocks at McMurdo Station - as opposed to the NZ program at Scott Base.

Great Jacket and service was first class. Just wish I had bought this jacket at the start of winter instead of waiting till August to pull the trigger.

Just got this jacket and used it on a Barbary sheep hunt in New Mexico. It is the best at breaking the wind that I have ever had, and did not even snag on a barb wire fence. I love it!!
